Condolence Messages

  1. Dear Aunt Leona, Rosanne, Chris, Rob and Harvey —
Although I am not with you in person, my heartfelt sympathy and love is with you.

Marlene’s faith in God through all her health issues has certainly been a message to me in that my faith has grown because of her. Every time I spoke with her, or read her emails to me, Marlene was always upbeat, never complaining, and always praising our Lord for all He had done for her. She never gave up faith for being cured of her cancer and encouraged everyone she talked to, to keep faith in God for He is in control.

As I remember so many fun times that Marlene and I shared as young girls growing up and then our support for each other during the years of raising our children, the most important memory that I will always cherish is our love and respect for each other. No matter how far we were apart and no matter how long it was between our visits, it was as though only days had passed since our last conversation or get together. We knew we were always there for each other.

I praise God, for Marlene’s life and testamony, and because she is with Him now, I have comfort and peace because I will see her again some day.

    With Love

  2. Marlene will be missed by us all.

Our deepest and sincere condolences go to everyone.

    Adriaan, Sylvia, Stephanie, and Jennifer

  3. Katherine Dykstra

My deepest condolences to Marlene’s family and friends.

Marlene was almost like a second mother to me. Someone I felt comfortable confiding in and getting honest and practical advice. I could talk to her more freely and with total faith in her ability to keep it to herself. Many times, much more than my own mother because Marlene seemed to always understand.

I will miss her smiles, her goofy humor, and her love of red wine (particularly Grey Fox because of it’s decent price and taste). And of course her love of coffee!

I’m really going to miss you Marlene, you’ll forever be in my heart.

    Love, Katherine xoxoxo
