Janet…she is one of the mysterious and so very fascinating older cousins I remember and cherish from my youth! Through the years you have all kept in touch…Mom and Dad always speaking highly of our Laity family in Haney. It was a good day when a Laity cousin or two would appear at the door – such excitement, laughter, and an immediate sense of family!! Janet was and always will be with me…so many years ago, she took me under her wing for a year when I was 21, stumbling & trying to find my way; it was amazing!! With her keen observations on life and no nonsense approach, she helped guide me toward becoming a real adult with her endless kindness and patience, wit and humor, & love of family. She never judged me, accepted me without question – she truly was shelter from the storm. Dear Rod, Shirley, Sean, John, Walter and Val and your families, my heart is breaking thinking of this difficult time for you. Hold tight to each other & the wonderful memories you share and always know how much she loved you all. Janet was a beautiful person, a bright light in our family and she will be dearly remembered and missed.

  15. I was honored in meeting Janet once or twice with her nephew, Sean.
My heart goes out to your entire family, which shares so much love for one another.
I was proud to be a short part of your lives.
In my heart, Janet and all the family will always be Remembered with love.
