Eldon was born in Newfoundland to parents Arthur and May Hunt. He had 8 brothers and sisters. He moved to B.C in 1957, lived in Vancouver, Coquitlam and moved to Maple Ridge in 1983.
He and his wife Kit, had one son Chris (Debbie) and two grandsons Trevor and Garet.
His family was his passion. He lived his life on football fields with his son Chris and hockey rinks with his grandsons Trevor and Garet. Distance was no object. He was there.
He leaves to mourn his wife Kit of 67 years, his son Chris (Debbie), grandsons Trevor and Garet, good friend Ruth Loredo, one brother Arthur (Berthiar), in Florida, one sister, Audrey (Gerry) in Ontario.
Funeral Service will be held at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Dec 29th at 11:00 am.

    We were so sorry to hear that Eldon has passed away. It was not that long ago that we had a very nice visit in one of the malls in Maple Ridge. He was always very sociable and friendly. We will miss his smiling face. He always had a smile.

So sorry for everyone’s loss – y’ all are a fun and close family. Eldon was just so proud of all of you but especially “the boys”. Always fabulous to run into him while shopping for family updates. Trevor and Garet – you both were so blessed to have him be such a huge part of their lives. Wished we were home for St Luke’s as we would’ve been there.   10. So sorry to hear about Eldon passing…I was away and missed the service . I always enjoyed Eldon weather it was a party ….. or visits in the Superstore in later years in life .He always talked very highly of his family and was so proud of his grandkids and their accomplishments. I will miss seeing you in the store. Rest in peace my friend
