David Miller

In Memorial

David grew up in Port Coquitlam and died at home on December 8, 2016 in Maple Ridge BC, aged 50.

David is survived by his beloved daughters Valerie, Cheyanne and Danickah. He was predeceased by his daughter Alexa earlier this year, and his father Tom in 2004. He leaves his best friend and loving mum, Marlene. Siblings Tom (Sveta) and Gwen (Michael,) niece and nephews Katya, Daniel (Becca,) Joseph, and Sascha remember him with warm affection. David is also survived by the mothers of his children, Cindy, Deborah and Christina.

Dave was keenly interested in the world around him. He loved excitement and was fun; children and animals naturally gravitated to him. His lively intelligence allowed him to troubleshoot all types of problems; he could be counted on to fix most things. Always up for new experiences, he recently enjoyed using a bobcat to avoid a large plumbing bill. A quick study and true to form, he did a little landscaping and a favour for a neighbor before the machine had to be returned.

David was kind, generous, and valiant in the face of adversity. A gentle person, he was hurt by life and his difficulties hurt his family in turn. Still, he found many ways to be kind and help those around him. His renewed faith gave him strength and helped restore his dignity.

“There is a crack in everything.
That’s how the light gets in.”

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at St. Catherine’s Anglican Church, 2211 Prairie Avenue at Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam BC.
