Condolence Messages

  1. I just came upon this via internet search. Ad & Marion “rescued” my parents, John and Leeann Patterson, when they had car trouble on their honeymoon. Being the kind and hospitable people they were, Ad and Marion treated my parents like family and they maintained their friendship through letters and occasional visits. I knew them as “Grandma and Grandpa Berbeck!” I have fond memories of their retirement visits to our family in California, when they would stay for a few weeks in their motor home. Grandma made tea, baked and knit, and Grandpa always had many interesting stories. I can still hear his jolly laugh! They taught my brother and me to play the card game “progressive rummy,” and we played many a game at the table in their motor home! My husband, myself and our two children were able to visit them in their home in Maple Ridge on a road trip to Canada in the summer of 2007.
