Takako Thomas

On May 1, 2011. Takako of Maple Ridge, BC, Canada, peacefully passed in her sleep at Ridge Meadows Hospital. She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Yoko of Sasebo and Lako of Sendai, Japan and will be sadly missed by her many friends.
Services will be held at Garden Hill Funeral Home at 11765 – 224th St, Maple Ridge, on May 13, 2011 at 1:00 pm.

   Very sad to hear Takako’s departure.

   She used to belong Tanka poem group in Vancouver, and enjoyed poem composing with us, until she had to stop driving due to her illness.

   I will cherish her memory together with her poems.

   My deep sympathy goes to her sisters.

   Although I have not seen her since her stop attending Tanka group,
   I always remember her cheerful smiles and the deep love for her cat.
