Sandy Hewitt (Stepputat)

October 14, 1958 – November 10, 2012

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sandy, who has left us peacefully to join her mother, Sonja, with the angels in heaven. Sandy was born in Germany on a brief visit with her mother. Sandy attended Centennial High School in Coquitlam, BC. After High School, Sandy worked for the Liquor Distribution Board for several years before getting into the trucking industry. Sandy was a loyal employee of Sanfred Trucking for the last sixteen years.

After a courageous battle with cancer, Sandy has left behind to mourn: her only child Michael (Joanne), her life partner Michael Clegg, her two beautiful granddaughters, Jasmine and Mikayla, her two brothers Rainer (Lise) and Randy (Brenda), her nieces and nephews, Michelle, Ryan, Tyler, Angelie, David, Melissa, Dylan, Mathew; stepdaughters, Terry-Lynn (Brian), Rennae (Levi) and Laurie; her step nephew Bryce (Kaitlyn), great-nephews Drake and Magnus and step grandchildren Keegan and McKenzie. Sandy will be lovingly remembered by the mother of her granddaughters, Mina, the mothers of her nieces and nephews, Ronnie and Elle and her dearest best friends Jan (Pat) and Sherry of thirty nine years. Also left to survive is her Germany family, Ralf and Gaby and their family, and many friends and former colleagues. Sandy left behind her most cherished and faithful four legged babies, Pearl and Cheri, whom she loved so dearly.

A Big thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and Volunteers at the Surrey Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit N52.
