Richard Melvin Zirk, of Maple Ridge, passed away suddenly on February 10, 2013 at the age of 54. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Madge Zirk. He will be greatly missed by his sister Trudean (Neil Heinrich), brother Jim, Brother David (Jalene), and many other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church – 12145 Laity Street, Maple Ridge, BC. Viewing begins at 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church memorial fund would be appreciated by the family.

  4. Richard was a passanger on my bus for many years in Maple Ridge. He always called me sweet heart and in a kind voice always said love ya as he left the bus to go his way.I was lucky to have had him on my bus that saturday night before he passed away.I joked with him as we always did and when he got of my bus once again he made me smile as he said see you later sweet heart. My heart goes out to the family he has left behind. He had many friends a long the way we will miss him, and i will miss that smile . Sleep well Richard

    i knew rick for many years like 20 for sure from haney place mall and the bus i just found out late tonite i lived in ridge for 25 years but moved to mission we would often hug talk for sure he was a kind person warm nice guy funny miss him for sure way to young sendimg my love to his family he loved his family his mom for sure and loved his church miss u rick my old young friend xo debbie and hubby aime daughter nicole son dustin xo my mom arlene often gave u money for ur coffee bud xo ahhhhhh
