He was a great friend and I hold many fond memories of our early days. It was an honour and a privilege to be his "best man" at your wedding almost 50 years ago. I knew him in the latter days of RCMP / early days of CSIS when we both served in Foreign Liaison and I always found him to be a great guy (always willing to help a new kid learn the ropes).
