  9. Gregory Shannahan :

To Pat and to Dan and the family of the Late John McCarron.

I was sad to learn of the death of John. I have heard Dan talk about him and understand from that that he was a much loved and admired Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother.

May flights of angels lead you on your way
To paradise and to the eternal day
May martyrs greet you after death’s dark night
And bid you enter into Zion’s light
May choirs of angels sing you to your rest
With once poor Lazarus, be forever blest
Join in the chorus that shall never cease
Rest in His presence in eternal peace.

I will endeavour to get a Mass said in his memory down here in Christchurch, New Zealand. I will also ask the Carmelite Sisters to pray for him and the family.

A blessing for strength to the family and friends in the coming days as you begin to learn how to live around the hole left by such a kind and caring person.

“In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” John 14:2.

    Eternal Rest.

    Gregory Shannahan
    Christchurch, New Zealand
