Condolence Messages

  1. I was shocked to read of your loss of Fran. Although we lost touch over the past years, she was a good friend and colleague for over 25 years when we were both in the real estate business in Maple Ridge. We were both on the executive of the local real estate board in the 1970’s and we worked together at Royal LePage in the 1980’s and 90’s. I always appreciated her strong work ethics and her support for me as her Manager at LePage. We also had a lot of fun during those years. I’m sorry for your loss, Wayne. Best wishes, Skip

  2. My condolences go out to Wayne and the family for your loss of Fran. My mother Ruth and her mother were cousins on my grandmother’s side (Cookson). I believe that’s how it went. Living in Ontario, I only had the opportunity to meet Fran a handful of times over the years, but quickly learned to be amazed by her energy and drive. I was fortunate to be her and Wayne’s guest in Mexico a few years ago and spent a lovely week getting to know her better. It was a week filled with activity and meeting with friends and people in the community, and I became aware of the very active role Fran played in their second home community of Aijijic! I am sad that she is gone.

  3. To Fran’s family: Im so sorry to hear Fran is gone, I knew her for many years – worked with her selling real estate in Maple Ridge, golfed with her at the fun tournaments we used to have every year, and partied with her and Wayne and other mutual friends on many occasions. A lot of people have asked me over the years whether Ive heard where she is or how she is doing, and Ive only been able to say that the last I had heard, they were living in Mexico. So – many of her old friends thank you for printing her Obit in the local paper otherwise we would never have known she had passed. I only wish I could have seen her more often and more recently, but Im sure they were living a really great life down there. Fran enjoyed her life that’s for sure! Im sure you will all miss her tremendously.
