Arlene, Sandi, Dennis and Garrett : On behalf of myself Barb and Buddy we wish all of you condolences on your moms passing. I have been a friend of Arlenes since moving to 14th Avenue in Burnaby where I met and spent many fun hours with the Topp family. Betty was such a wonderfully fun person and she was always someone I loved spending time with! I fondly remember many times we all had together along with my own parents, our mother daughter lunches and the many Christmas Eve parties the Topp family kindly hosted for many years! I’m happy to know Betty is now with the love of her life Donny and hope the entire family will be able move on with their lives knowing how much she was loved and how much she loved them. I’m very sorry I will not be able to attend Bettys service but do know I will be there in spirit. Love you all and hugs to everyone of you. 7. Camilla Sullivan :

I am sorry to hear about your mom, Camilla Sullivan (nee Erickson) and “Bett” were the “old girls club” along with Mo, Irene and a few others. Mom is in a home and is unable to venture out too much these days as she has dementia and it is hard to take her out for long otherwise she would be at her dear friend’s service. Bett was my mom’s maid of honour and they kept in touch until last year when your mom got so sick. It was only last week (possibly the day she passed) that mom was talking about what her and her friends did that morning and I asked her which friends, she said rather annoyed that Bett and Mo were out for lunch. Oh I sometimes wonder if the spirit comes to say goodbye. She called occasionally to see how mom and my dad were, she will be missed by the good old girls even if they don’t remember her passing. I wish you peace that she is at rest. Love from Camilla

We want you to know that we miss Betty as a table companion at Baillie House. Betty was always so good to our mum Edna. She was so good to include her in the conversation. We all enjoyed her company and shared some laughs with her. She was a good person.
