We were so sorry to hear of Doreen’s passing. She has been a friend for many years. Curling was a shared sport and we have a lot of great memories from the Curling Club. Please know that we share your sorrow and pray that you find comfort in knowing that many friends are thinking and praying for you at this time.

Condolence from Gaylene Lueger on May 7th, 2013 3:44 pm

Hi there. My father just passed away and he was a good friend of Mary Monkman (when he was living in Langley). His name was Allan Lueger. Mary was my mother Gayle Lueger’s best friend (when she was alive and living in Langley and Delta…sorry to say she died in 1998). I know my father was also close to Mary. I am not sure if I have the correct Mary Monkman (my mother always called her Mary, not Doreen…). Anyway, my father’s memorial is being held beginning of June and I am actually hoping that this is not the same Mary Monkman (I only met her about 3 times many years ago, but I seem to remember she made her own beer, had a pickup truck…? all I can remember sorry. Please let me know. I’m, hoping it is not her because then I can find the real Mary Monkman to let her know my dad passed away a week ago. Kind regards, Gaylene Lueger (604 ) 883-2988 (on the Sunshine Coast, BC). PS: Maybe someone remembers my little sister Alana? If they do, then your Mary is “our” Mary…sadly. Please can you pass this on to Mary’s close relatives to help?
