Doreen passed away peacefully on February 20, 2013. She fought Stage 4 breast cancer with courage and grace for nine years, always projecting a positive, no-nonsense attitude; she was truly an inspiration to all who knew her. Doreen’s family would like to express appreciation to the doctors and nurses at Lions Gate Hospital Cancer Clinic, North Vancouver, and more recently Ridge Meadows Hospital, Maple Ridge, and McKenney Creek Hospice, Maple Ridge.

  5. Janine &Garnett Arthurs :

We wish we could be there to hug the family and give our condolences in person but can’t get the work time off!! But to say the least Doreen touched my heart deeply with a conversation we had at uncle Dennis’s place at the lake in Port Alberni. She gave me support in my down time when I knew she was struggling with her fight, the love and support she gave me will always keep me strong and helps me to face life’s trouble with a more positive outlook of love. The Life we live can be hard and full of issues but know she will always be there looking out for her family (the boys and dave)and giving everyone the strength they will need to keep going on without her!! Know our Love is with everyone (the family) Love Janine and Garnett Arthurs
