Dear Lynn, Sheldon, Craig, Kim and Kerri,

Wild Rose Bay has lost a great member of our community. We know Dan is looking down on the new marina and beaming as he was waiting expectantly for it to be completed this year. He loved being here and we will miss seeing him sitting on his porch watching the going’s on in the neighbourhood.
Just remember all the great times you all had here at the lake and that will bring you some comfort in the days ahead.
He was blessed to have all of you supporting him during his illness. It was a long and difficult time for all of you but take pride that you have such a wonderful family who pulled together.
Remember we are eternal spirits on a human journey and you will be together again someday!
    Love
    Mary-Lou and Garnet

    To the Wiebe family

We are so sorry for your loss. Dan made such a difference in our lives in taking a chance and hiring my father when we first came to Canada. Not many people would have done the same. I am starting my own family now and think about Dan’s kindness and generosity towards my father and our family; these are qualities that I will try to instill in my son. I hope he knew how much what he did means to us. Please accept our heartfelt condolences.

  7. Debra Dunsmore :

    Dear Lynn and Family,
As I write this message you are all gathering for Dan’s celebration of his life. A time for sharing and reminiscing. I want you to know I am with you all in spirit and that I am smiling at many good memories that I have working together with Dan at Prism Helicopters. I read you have 15 grandchildren, I know their love and your immediate children and their spouses will provide strength for you.
    Love Debra

  10. Matthew Bingham :

I was very sad to have missed the remembrance for Dan and I sincerely wish I could have attended. The Wiebe family has always been so good to my family and my memories of Dan are fond; I especially remember his infectious laugh and having some really nice chats with him around the pool at the house on Argyle in Port Alberni. He was also responsible for my one and only ride in a helicopter, an experience I’ve never forgotten.

He was a fine man and he will be missed. God bless you all and much love to you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Matt
