Art,
You were always such a good and caring person, always quick to share a laugh. We never heard of you turning a friend away when they were down. Your capacity to love was so great that in return you are loved and missed by so many people. It was such an honor to know you and you will always be in our hearts.
All our love goes out to your family.

The thing that I will miss most about Arthur is his infectious smile. He was always the best rival in our fishing derby. He will be missed by all that knew him.
You will always be number one in my book.

Your fishing buddy Norm

I always enjoyed talking to Art when he came in to buy his lumber. He was a woodworker who loved his craft. His legacy will live on in the projects he completed and in the family he loved.
God bless, Colin Reimer

Art,

I was shocked to hear about your passing today. Although we hadn’t seen each other in sometime. I miss your incredible energy and awesome craftmanship. I was always proud to display your work in our homes. You will be incredibly missed. Peace be with you Brother.

Condolence from CAROLE AND EHSAN QURESHI on March 30th, 2011 3:35 pm

To Art’s Family and Toby
We were so shocked and saddened to learn by chance of Art’s death. Our lives touched very briefly in 2006 when we were fortunate enough to have him build our beautiful stair railing in West Vancouver. He spent many hours in our home both before and after we moved in. He was always pleasant to have around – I remember his smile well and it was clear he was as wonderful a human being as he was a craftsman.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences – we wish you all the strength you will need to overcome his tragic and untimely death.
Carole and Ehsan Qureshi

Condolence from Doreen Hillsdon on November 7th, 2014 10:53 pm

Well it is never to late to wish my condolences to Art’s family. I new Art for many years and his infectious smile I will always miss. I first met Art in grade 8 and then lost touch until we met in grade 9 where we began dating. I was Art’s first girlfriend and I have never forgotten my firt love. I would sometimes search for Art only to find he had passed and my heart weighed heavly . The lord took you too soon and I hope that you have the peace and the love that you so deserve. I will never forget you and will love you always as that tender boy of 15.

Doreen Hillsdon

Condolence from Michael meraw on April 13th, 2016 8:24 am

May you rest in heaven were the Angels fro may you rest in peace where the poppies blow threw my memories row by row when I think of art. Time gets slow may he be in my heart when my strength is low may he be in the wind when my legs won’t go may he be the river when I no longer float he was the man who patched my boat kept me afloat and may he rest in places with gorgeous spaces he will wander forever faceless but as he lies. His spirit never dies may we see his spirit rise above the Lonley cries may he forever be within my soul true heart of gold could not be sold should have gotten old. Between those tides of time should not be cold was spoken like a chime but in times end may he have found a friend and gathered up his mind a freind of mine. In eendless time natures crimes divine
