Born September 18, 1920 in Sappemeer, Holland
She is survived by; brother John Panjer and family in Calgary, Alberta, daughter Jeannine Whitnum, granddaughters; Tonya Szabo and Alicia Whitnum, and great-granddaughters Jordan and Hannah Donnelly.
Alice worked as a fashion designer in London, England after the Second World War. She moved to Canada in 1959 and continued to work in the fashion industry until retirement. Her family cannot find the words to say how much she will be missed, she will always be known for her strength and big heart. Anyone who ever met her will never forget her strolling through town with her big fancy hat and flair for fashion, a true diva like no other. We love you Nana, always a star in our hearts.
Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel, 11765 – 224th St, Maple Ridge.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
