    My dearest Rob,,
To be at rest in Haida Gwaii, such a beautiful spot on this earth, is a gift. A beautiful spot to be still and calm. I hope to visit you there one day.
Your spirit soars like a raven up to the heavens. Your music, your smile, your love are forever a part of me, a part of everyone you met on your life’s journey. Your shining spirit brightened any room, any gathering. Wherever we would go , your light shone bright bringing peace, joy and harmony, often through music, and just as often through mindful conversation. I feel blessed to have known you, for far too short a time, and to have been loved by you. The choir of angels is lucky to have you. God please bless your family and friends in this sad and difficult time. May we all cherish the warm memories we have in our minds and our hearts. Now you can spread your wings and be free. May we feel the presence of your spirit when you visit us here on Earth. Rest in peace my love. May we meet again on the other side. Love, now and always, Shelley

  9. David Quesnel :

Just met you this year at a little get-together in Winnipeg. We were all playing various songs & having a great time. Kenny Shields from Streetheart had just passed & I had just Learned “Look in your eyes” a beautiful song, i went aside with Rob & played the chords & he knew the song, jumped right in! We played a verse & chorus quietly in a corner, just to give it a little whirl. Sometimes when playing, there’s a “click” where something magical, actually lifts your feet! That happened in that brief moment playing that song.
I’ll never forget that, thanks you Rob.

  10. I have great memories of Rob. Always a big smile, great heart. I met Rob during my Karoke shows over 27 years ago and remained friends there after. My Condolences to his family

  12. Rob, we only had a brief time to get acquainted, but my fondest memory will be that time we shared last summer at the Winnipeg Folk Festival. Your joy in living could be seen plainly in the songs that you shared with us all. I am very grateful to have played a few tunes together with you and our crew by the fire pit in our camp.
May you rest peacefully in the Creator’s loving embrace, Rob, free from all earthly pain. May all your beloved family and many friends be granted the Strength and Grace that all will need to endure this sad time. So long, buddy.
