  5. Mr and Mrs P Thomas :

Joan, was a lovely lady and gave many students a great start. Many great memories but one that sticks out was when our young daughter was prescribed glasses . Joan could see there was some teasing and our daughter was unhappy. Joan handled the situation like the pro she was. She told our daughter that she (Joan) wasn’t the only person in the room to wear glasses anymore. Her thoughtfull and kind words helped our daughter adjust to wearing specs! Thanks again! Joan.

  6. Was Joan’s neighbor for a few years. Lovely lady. She will be missed by many. May she rest in peace.
