I would like to send my condolences to Johns family. He was a great man who could always lift your spirits. His smile was infectious. He will be missed by many but surely NOT forgotten and I’m glad to have known and gone to school with such a great guy. Taken way too soon from us all, what a shame!

  17. Serj, Rishi and Jai Sangara :

We would like to send our condolences to John’s family.

While I’m sure that no amount of kind words from “strangers” will ever replace your loss, we’d like you to know that we only began shopping at Save-On (Terra Nova) because of John. (We only lived 3 blocks away but went elsewhere until his arrival.)….As time went by, and we got to know him better, we always looked forward to running into him (and his warm smile)on a daily basis, while sitting in the Starbucks close by.

John also hired our son later on (without any prodding from us!!)and gave him his first job. He continues to enjoy being a part of the culture that John helped create at that store.

From our family to yours – know that John will be missed, but not forgotten.

    Serj, Rishi and Jai Sangara

  20. John,
I can’t express the sorrow I feel. Every day I think about the converations we had and the laughter. The last conversation we had was the day you passed. If only I had known. You are destined for better things and the struggles you had in life will come back to you in the next. You cannot imagine the friendships and outpouring of sadness that is felt. Rest well knowing that you have touched so many lives and will be remembered always. You were and always be a great friend and I wish you safe journey.

  21. I still could not belive that John left us. As new immigration,we should say “thanks” to him for his work since he provided us with equal, fair and friendly, a better work envionment when he was the assistant manager at our store(No.3 Rd).He worked very hard, and made a good model for us to learn. We lost a wise leader as well as a good friend…. John, we will love you forever.
