Clara Cecilia passed away peacefully in her 96th year on the 25th of October, 2011. She is predeceased by husband, John and daughter, Deborah in early 2004. Clara was the last surviving member of her family. She was amazed by her longevity. She leaves to mourn her passing, son Charles (Bev); grandchildren, Jeremy and Sherryl; as well and many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her needlework, her cookies, and her ability to listen. Celebration of Life to be held on Monday, October 31 at 11:00am at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel – 11765 224th Street, Maple Ridge. Interment to follow at Maple Ridge Cemetery.

Passed away in his home on September 23, 2011 at age 63. He was a loving father of 4 and grandfather of 5. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, including his cat and companion of 10 years, Pepper. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel, 11765 – 224th St, Maple Ridge. All who knew him are welcome. It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of our mother Patricia Edith Carlson (Fuller).
Patricia is predeceased by her husband Steve after 61 years of marriage and granddaughters Deanne and Denise Carlson.
Patricia will be sadly missed by her children, Deadra, Captain Stephen (Gayle), Karyn (Keith), Dave (Emily) as well as grandchildren Jason (Lisa), Tricia (Ralph), Chris (Jen) and 7 great grandchildren.
Mom faced the challenges of life with a wry grin and adventuresome spirit that was an inspiration to many. Mom’s greatest loves were family, friends, travel, dancing, music and reading.
Her journey through life touched many people who will forever remember and miss her and her zest for life.
She was a generous person who volunteered extensively with St. Johns Ambulance and both Burnaby and Maple Ridge Hospice.
The family sends a special thanks to the first floor staff at Maple Ridge Seniors Village & the Maple Ridge Hospice for their kindness and compassion towards Mom and the family.
A celebration of Patricia’s life will take place in the Spring of 2012. Family and friends will be notified.

Helen was born on August 11th, 1930 in Antigonish, Nova Scotia resided in Maple Ridge. At the age of 81 she passed away on October 17, 2011 at Royal Columbia Hospital.
Helen is survived by her husband Nickie Eschuk, Sisters Margaret, Chrissie, Terrie, Betty and Brother Duncan, as well as her children Fay Nichol (Rick), Angus (Diane), Leslie, Joseph, Ronnie (Marina), Johnnie (Sue), Sandy (Pam) and her Grandchildren Shane (Tammy), Keith, Marco, Krista, Marissa, Courtney, Alexis, Cody, Maya, Mackenzie, Makenna and Great Grandchildren Dylan, Logan and Shaylynn.
Helen was predeceased by her parents John Colin and Mary Bell Chisholm, sisters Anna and Isabel, brother Donald, and by her two daughters in infancy (Mary Anne & Agnes Anne) and her daughter Betty Serafini (Mario).
At Helen’s request there will be no funeral, viewing or celebration of life. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Denis Buddy Johnson who passed away peacefully on October 14, 2011 at Ridge Meadows Hospital, aged 44 years. Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel, Maple Ridge. Interment at Katzie Cemetery. Dennis touched many lives during his lifetime, and he will be greatly missed by all.

It is with great sadness that the family of Bob Franklin announces his passing. He was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle. Bob is survived by his loving wife June, brother Tony (Alma), brother-in-law Bob (Mary), his children Ann (Terry), Sue (Gord), Rob (Lois), Kathy (Will), Jim (Cathy) and son-in-law Jim (Ellen), 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandsons. Bob was born in Maple Ridge on July 27, 1921 and attended Alexander Robinson Elementary and MacLean High School. He served as a wireless operator during WWII and after the war worked for Canada Post for 30 years before retiring in 1976 as Assistant Post Master. As well as an enthusiastic gardener and handyman, Bob was an avid fi Sherman and an active member of the Maple Ridge Rod and Gun Club. He was also an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 88 and volunteered to help raise funds at Legion Bingo.
Special thanks to Dr. Chapman and the staff at Ridge Meadows Hospital for their care over the last few months.
Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him and will be remembered by all of the lives that he touched. He was truly a gentleman.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 11:00 am at Burnett Fellowship Baptist Church” Burnett Fellowship Baptist Church, 20639 123 Ave, Maple Ridge.

Born in Saskatchewan March 2, 1917, passed away peacefully at George Derby Centre, Burnaby September 29, 2011.
Predeceased by husband Bert. Edna will always be remembered and greatly missed by her children Morgan, Debbie and Betty-Jean. Grandchildren Marion, Jessica, Colin and Great Grandson Diallo.
Ahead of her time, Edna accomplished many things in life as a Teacher, Wireless Operator with the Air Force and Public Health Nurse. She was truly a wonderful human being who cared greatly about her family, the environment and always kept abreast of world events. Edna enjoyed gardening , taking walks to the river, passing along family recipes and was always there to listen.
A reflection of her life will be held Saturday October 15 at 11 am. Garden Hill Funeral Home 11765-224 Street, Maple Ridge, Chaplain Ron Rissling Officiating. All who knew her are welcome.
