Born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton Island passed away at Surrey Memorial Hospital on April 25, 2011.  Survived by her children, Tim, Ryan (Terra), and Kate (Chris); grandchildren, Alyssa, James, Brooklynn, Stella, and Astrid. 

Funeral Mass to be held at 11:00am on Friday, April 29 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church – 22561 121 Ave, Maple Ridge.  Celebrant – Father Au.  Donations to Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.

 Our beloved Husband, Dad & Grandpa Grenville Adam, passed away peacefully into the presence of his Lord & Savior surrounded by his loving family.

 Gren will be forever lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Iris, their four children carole (Rick), Wendy (Warren), Glenda (Dave) and Chris. Also fondly remembered by his brother Doug and family, six grandchildren, Shana (Adam), Rebecca (Shane), Amy and Andrew, Ross and Lauren, three great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Madison and baby Declan, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

 A celebration of Gren’s life will be held at Northside Foursquare Church, Port Coquitlam Campus, 1477 Lougheed Hwy., Port Coquitlam on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 2 p.m.

In his final hours Len was surrounded by his loving family.
Len is survived by his wife of 37 years Bev Leon (Pierre), sons Patrick (Leah),
Walter (Barbie), grandchildren Savannah, Tala, Natasha, Jocelyn, and Richard.
Sisters Linda & Theresa, and Brother Dave.

Len entered the spirit world and is reunited with his father Barney, Mother
Wilma, sister Jennifer and son Charlie.

Len is a well known fishermen on the West coast and will always be remembered for his sense of humour, and storytelling.

Sincere thankyou to family and friends for the support given during our time of need.
A special thank you to the staff at McKinney Hospice for their wonderful support and time with Len and welcoming our families, the Leons & Pierres.

Prayers will be held Monday April 25th at 7pm at the Simon Pierre Longhouse Katzie Pitt Meadows. Funeral Service held 9AM Tuesday the 26th at the Longhouse.

Clive P. passed away on April 20, 2011 in Maple Ridge, BC. He is survived by his wife Lynn A. Gard; son Edward “Teddy” Palmer; daughter Leslie Terrazakis (nee Palmer); grandson James Gard; granddaughter Shawna Zaccardo; brother in law Ralph Grant; sister in law Penny Grant (nee Smethurst); nephew Terry Grant; also many nieces, nephews & friends. Clive belonged to the Musicians Union. He was predeceased by his son Kevin Purcer Gard. A luncheon will be held at the family home 23690 108 Loop on Saturday, April 30th, 2011 from 1 – 4 pm.

 Allen Covington passed away Friday April 15th 2011 at Holyrood Manor in Maple Ridge.  Born in Vancouver December 15th 1924 to Charles and Bessie Covington the youngest of four children, Maurice (1920 – 1998), Muriel (1921), and Beverly (1923 – 1981).  Al attended David Livingston School and Vancouver Technical, graduating in 1942.  In September 1943 Al joined the Canadian Air Force and was later stationed outside Ottawa where he met Shirley Burns.   Al and Shirley were married April 11th 1946 in Lachine Quebec,  celebrating their 65th anniversary this year.    Following a trip back to Vancouver they settled in North Bend B.C., CP Rail was his employer until retirement in 1984.  Al is survived by Shirley, daughter Betty (Don), sons Brad (Carol), Blaine (Deb), and Brent (Deb), and 10 grandchildren.  There will be a Celebration of Al’s Life on Saturday May 14th from 1pm till 4pm. The location will be at the home of Brent & Deb Covington, 10441 Tamarack Crescent, Maple Ridge, BC. Please join us to share memories, some laughing, crying, and a few hugs.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity.

Michael leaves behind a life long legacy of friendship and dedication to his family and friends. His dynamic personality will be forever remembered by those that shared his life. Michael was a loving father to his beautiful daughter Preston “BP”, and was eagerly anticipating the birth of his second daughter expected this summer. He leaves his beloved wife Meghan, his father Clifford, his brothers Steven, Troy and Mark. Sisters Theresa, Nicole, and Pavi as well as too many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews to mention. He also developed an affectionate and brotherly connection to Meghan’s sisters Nicole, Cari and Tori. All were an integral part of an extended family that made up the fabric of his life. Michael was predeceased from life by his mother Elizabeth with whom he is now united. A funeral service will be held Thursday April 21, 2011 at one o’clock at the Maple Ridge Baptist Church, 22155 Lougheed Hwy, and a celebration of life will follow at Meadow Gardens Golf Club, 19675 Meadow Gardens Way. In lieu of flowers a trust fund for Michaels children is being created through the Royal Bank.

Dolly St. Jean

 On Wednesday April 13, 2011 Dolly peacefully passed away. Born in Brookdale, Manitoba.

After losing her mother in 1941, she moved to Alberta and eventually moved to BC making both Maple Ridge and Mission her home.  She spent years dedicating her life as an educator, teaching both elementary and high school and ending her career as principal of Deroche Elementary.  She is survived by her 3 daughters, Jean (Maple Ridge), Rae (Kelowna) and Pooky (Joe) Maple Ridge.  5 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 7 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Dolly will be missed and known for her spark!  A celebration of life will be held at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel 11765-224th St.Maple Ridge, B.C., on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 1:00 pm.

 A very special thank you to all the staff at Pleasant View Care Home for all the care and loving words during our mother’s four years, and for the extra special care and loving support during her final days.

It is with great sorrow that the family of Aurele (Boots) Remillard announces the sudden passing of a very special person on April 10, 2011. Boots is survived and will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 27 years, Betty. He will be forever in the hearts of his children Brenda (David), Danny (Joanne), Debra, Brad and Leslie as well as his stepchildren Sheila (Paul), Shelley (Bob), Beverly (Glen) and his grandchildren Nicole, Matt, Tiffany, Katie, Megan, David, Courtney, Jessica, and Braden. Two great grandchildren Jordyn and Averie also blessed his life. Boots leaves behind his brother Art, stepsister Loretta and stepbrother Howard.

A celebration of Boot’s life will be held on Saturday, April 16th, 2011 at 11am at Garden Hill Funeral Home, 11765 – 224th Street, Maple Ridge.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Lung Association.

Pepere is at rest, basking in the sun, enjoying his jazz.
