Art passed away peacefully at McKenney Creek Hospice after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his children; Josh and Danielle; his mother Denise; sisters Claudette and Gloria; brothers Rich and Michael; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends. A celebration of Art’s life will be held Saturday October 2, 2010 at 1:00pm at Maple Ridge Alliance Church – 20399 Dewdney Trunk Road. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Canuck Place or McKenney Creek Hospice.

Mary passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on September 19, 2010. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who had a strong heart and a soft touch. Mary was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #88 in Maple Ridge, B.C. Mary is survived by her loving husband Cor (Andy) Van de Wetering; children, Cory (Robyn) Maple Ridge, B.C., Tammy (Tom) Abbotsford, B.C., Rose (Larry) Pitt Meadows, B.C., Ken (Emma) Port Moody, B.C. and Lori (Dan-Joe) Edmonton, AB; grandchildren, Joey, Angela, Chris, Lisa, Alex, Andrew and Emily; sisters, Phyllis, Joyce, Agnes, Sharon and Rose. Celebration of Life will be Sunday, September 26, 2010
at the Maple Ridge Legion Branch #88 12101 – 224th St., Maple Ridge in the lower level

Wendy “Lee” Fraser

January 12, 1939 – September 13, 2010.

Lee’s passing was a peaceful one surrounded by loved ones. Predeceased by her Husband Simon and Mother Mickey. She leaves to mourn her Cousin Joan and family in Victoria, Sister in law Sybil with her Son Raymond in Liverpool, England and her many close friends.
Lee was a member of the Pitt Meadows Golf Club for many years and developed great friendships with the girls in the club.
We will all miss her.
In respect of Lee’s wishes no service will be held.
We would also like to thank the staff at McKenney Creek Hospice for their compassionate care.

Dorothy “Dot” Jackson

1930 – 2010

We are saddened to announce the passing of Dorothy Jackson on September 8th, 2010 in Maple Ridge BC. Dorothy is predeceased by her loving husband Woody Jackson, her parents Alice Lucy New & William Emmett Dalton and her adoptive parents Mont & Dolly New. She is lovingly remembered by her family, daughter Louise Menzel (nee Hamilton); granddaughter Danielle (Geoff); grandson Sean (Krista) ;grandchildren Aviana and Henry all of Pemberton BC. Dot will also be remembered and missed by her large circle of friends. Born Dorothy Mary Lucienne Dalton September 19, 1930 in Wainwright AB, Dot moved to Vancouver at the age of 13 where she attended John Oliver Secondary. She went on to work at Gainer’s Meats until she moved to Pitt Meadows in the late 1950′s where her and Woody built the family farm. In 1975 Woody and Dot moved to Clinton to realize their dream of living in the Caribou after a one year in Sicamous. In the early 1980`s Dorothy moved back to Maple Ridge where she was very involved with the Haney Presbyterian Church and spent the last of her working years as the bookkeeper at Pitt Meadows Meats. After her retirement Dot became involved with The Canadian Red Cross and volunteered weekly.

A service is to be held on Friday September 17th 2010 at 2:00pm at Haney Presbyterian Church, 11858 – 216th Street, Maple Ridge, BC. Internment will be held at a later date in Clinton, BC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross or the charity of your choice.

Joseph Andrew Cook

Joseph Andrew passed away suddenly on September 12, 2010 at age 45 years. He is survived by his loving family; wife Mary; 2 children Kysha and Tiana. His parents Richard and Margaret, his sisters Tammy(Mark), and Monique(Nick),his brother Jason(Sherri) ; nieces and nephews, Benjamin, Heather, Tony, Franco, Johnny and Shane; 2 brothers –in-law Dennis and Davis, and his mother-in-law Elizabeth. Viewing will be held Friday September 17th 3-6PM at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel 11765-224th Street Maple Ridge. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday September 18th at 2 pm at the High Way Church 21746 Lougheed Hwy Maple Ridge. In lieu of flowers donations to the High Way Church would be appreciated.

Hendrik Frederik(Henk) Van Staalduinen

It is with great sadness that Henk’s family tells of his passing peacefully after a year long battle.
He, along with his love of life and laughter, will be missed and loved always by his wife Irma, sons Chris (Tracie), Matt (Alicia) and Cam, step children Angela and Michael, grand children Jenna, Ethan, Ryen and Cara, father Bill, brother Casey (Katie) and all his many relatives, friends, co-workers, neighbours and any other person who met him.
He is with his mother Ina now in peace. Service will be held at Burnett Fellowship Baptist Church20639-123rd Ave Maple Ridge, B.C. On Wednesday September 8, 2010 at 2.00 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

Robert Allan Weich

January 8 1950 to August 25 2010

Bob was born and raised in Vancouver BC. He attended high school in Vancouver and Coquitlam. He continued his education at BCIT and received his Journeyman Plumbing Certificate in 1980. During the next 25 years he ran his plumbing business until his health failed in 2005. He had a passion for watches,clocks,model cars,Harley Davidson Motor Cycles and Baseball Caps.

Bob passed away in Abbotsford Regional Hospital with his loving wife of 35 years, Michelle, at his side. His daughter,Jamie, whom he loved so much. He is survived by his parents, Bert and Mary Weich of Abbotsford, his sister Sharon Weich of Mission and brother Steve Weich of Abbotsford. His sister-in law Carol Silver of Montreal and nephews Barry and Steven Silver, Daniel Hoag and Dyllan Weich, and niece Tracy Silver. Aunts,Uncles and many cousins. .His 2 special dogs Sophie and Mia who brought him much happiness.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday September 12th from 1:00 to 5:00 at Pitt Meadows Golf Course – 13615 Harris Road, Pitt Meadows BC. 604-465-5431
