April 28, 2010
On April 19, 2010 Mum lost her battle with Cancer. Julie fought so hard for so long. Like her life she passed quietly in her sleep. Despite many hurdles in her life mum overcame everyone. Always saying that, “When one door closes another one opens”. Julie is lovingly remembered by her daughter and family: Jacquie and Ian, grandchildren Taylor, Elliot and Sydnee, her brother Charles and family and very close friend Audrey Mcintire.
Mom you have always been the strongest person I know.
RIP
Going home Going Home.
I amm going home.
Quiet like some still day.
I am going home.
It’s not far, just close by.
Through an open door.
Work all done, care laid by.
Never fear no more.
Mothers there expecting me.
Fathers waiting too.
Lots of faces gathered there,
All the friends I knew.
I’m just going home.
No more fear, no more pain.
No more stumbling by the way.
No more longing for the day.
Morning Star lights the day.
Restless, dreams all gone.
Shadows gone break of day,
Real life has begun.
There’s no break, there’s no end,
Just living on.
Wide awake with a smile
Going on and on.
Going Home – Going Home
I am goin.
Shadows gone, break of day.
Real life has begun.
I’m just going home.

On April 21, 2010 our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend Jeanne left this world graciously and peacefully, with her loving family by her side to go home to her Lord Jesus Christ. Jeannie was born in Fort Vermillion, Alberta on Mothers Day, May 12, 1935. She is predeceased by her parents Henry & Bea and Sister Diane. She leaves behind to miss her greatly the love of her life husband John of 35 yrs, children Cherie Southwell and Darren Wise. Her beloved grandchildren Tanya (Imran), Allison (Mike) along with her treasured great-grandchildren Madison & Mason and her faithful dog Jordy. Jeanne also leaves behind her brother Barry along with countless family and friends. She was Queen of our hearts & greatly enjoyed gathering family and friends to celebrate every possible occasion with her great hostessing and cooking, volunteering in church work, playing darts with her gals, doing all types of crafts and being the family historian. Jeanne spent her last 21 years in Maple Ridge; her favourite thing was her daily visit to Starbucks at 203rd with John and Jordy. Thank you for the gift of love, now you’re sharing it from above. You had many things to say, all in a caring way. You always saw good in everyone, no matter what they’ve done. Now we must let you rest calmly as we say goodbye, we know your place in heaven has a good view because you’re telling God “I need to keep an eye on a few”. You will always be in our hearts and minds and we’ll never forget that you’re one of a kind. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 28th 7-8pm at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel, 11765 224th Street, Maple Ridge. A Memorial Service will be held on May 1st, 1pm at Burnett Fellowship Baptist Church, 20639 123 Ave. Maple Ridge. In lieu of flowers you can make a donation to the BC Lung Foundation.
